TOKYO (Dow Jones) The pace of on-year growth in Japan's broad money supply quickened in January to 3.6% from 3.4% in December, the Bank of Japan said Friday. Economists surveyed by Dow Jones and Nikkei had forecast the rate of growth remained unchanged in January from December. December's rate of growth was left unchanged from the originally reported rise. The BOJ said the broad measure of liquidity growth for January was 2.7%, while it revised the December data to 2.7% from 2.9%.
